3rd Call: Bio-based replacement products, technologies and processes
I will be interestrested on the inverstigation of the mechanical behavior and the ageing of bio-based and bio-degradable polymers.
Since 1990th, I am studing the mechanical behavior of unreinforced as welle as reinforced polymers (thermosetting and thermoplastic ones) and the effects of ageing on the mechanical properties as well as on the fracture. The ageing is caused by exposure to hygrothermal environment, by immersion in water and in acid solutions and by forst.
Nowdays I supervise a research work on bio-based epoxy resin reinforced with flax fibers for repairing civil engineering structures. We studied the effects of frost and immersion on the ability of the composite to reinforce the damaged concrete.
